Sakai Kitchen Certified Product Selected as Commemorative Gift for G7 Ministers

At the G7 Osaka-Sakai Trade Ministers’ Meeting held on October 28 and 29, commemorative gifts were presented to 17 representatives, including trade ministers from G7 countries, the EU, invited nations, and international organizations. These gifts were offered by the 2023 G7 Trade Ministers’ Meeting Osaka-Sakai Promotion Council as a gesture of welcome and to showcase the appeal of local products.

A product certified under the first Sakai Kitchen Selection was chosen as one of these commemorative gifts.

Product Overview
This knife offers an excellent balance of sharpness and ease of sharpening. Made of rust-resistant stainless steel with a double-edged blade for ease of use. The handle is crafted from antibacterial Aomori Hiba wood, while the ferrule is made of artificial marble, a familiar material commonly used in kitchens.

Selection Process
Commemorative gifts were selected based on a recommended list of local products submitted by municipalities within Osaka Prefecture. The final selection was made through a review by external experts.
