Sakai Kitchen Selection Fair 2024

The Sakai Kitchen Selection Fair 2024 will be held at Daikanyama Tsutaya Books starting November 15, 2024.

Sakai City in Osaka is known as a place where many aspects of Japan’s history and culture began. Skilled artisans have preserved traditional industries such as cutlery, chusen-dyed textiles, and incense. Through Sakai Kitchen, we bring you the charm of these traditional products.

Now in its fourth year, the Sakai Kitchen Selection will showcase newly certified products for 2024. Visitors can discover exceptional items including Sakai knives loved by professional chefs, vibrant tenugui, and uniquely crafted incense holders.

Artisans will be present on weekends during the event. Knife sharpening services and live demonstrations will also be held.

We invite you to explore the appeal of Sakai’s traditional crafts.
