Exhibition and Sales of Sakai Kitchen Certified Products at Expo Event Showcasing the Charm of Sakai

Sakai City will host a special event at the Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai venue to promote the charm of Sakai, aiming to attract visitors and revitalize local industries. The event is based on the Expo theme “Designing a Future Society for Our Lives” and highlights Sakai’s cultural heritage, including the tea ceremony.

Visitors will be able to enjoy free experiences such as open-air tea ceremonies by the three Sen schools, Japanese and Western music performances, art installations by Chikuunsai Tanabe IV, and tea gatherings surrounded by natural elements.

A selection of Sakai Kitchen certified products will also be exhibited and available for purchase.

A grand tea gathering and stage of hospitality inspired by Sakai, the birthplace of Sen no Rikyu. The event embraces inclusivity, offering a tea experience that anyone can enjoy regardless of background.
